What to Do If Your Radon Test Comes Back High

At Peach State Environmental, our job is to test for radon, give you accurate results, and explain what those results mean. If your radon level is 4.0 pCi/L or higher, the EPA recommends taking action to reduce it.

What Is a Radon Mitigation referral?

Radon mitigation is the process of reducing indoor radon gas levels. Most systems use a fan and a series of pipes to safely vent radon from beneath the foundation to outside your home. It’s quiet, energy-efficient, and can reduce radon by up to 99%.

A properly installed system includes:

• A radon fan (usually in the attic or outside)
• PVC piping from beneath the slab or crawlspace
• A sealed sump pump cover (if applicable)
• A monitor or gauge to confirm system function
